There’s a formula.
The publish and pray method doesn’t work. Nowadays, online marketing requires a strict method for success. You’ve got to know who your content is for, why they need it, who will share it, and where they’ll find it.
If you don’t know those things about your content marketing material, don’t bother.
Who are your customers and what do they want? If you can’t answer those questions, your content marketing efforts will be a shot in the dark.
Research before writing
At least as much time must be spent researching your content and its likely promoters as is spent creating the content.
If not, you may as well stay home. Unless you’re a giant brand, you can’t break into the Google SERPs without a clear promotion strategy.
That’s where we come in.
